The Kings Trust- Upcoming Summer Opportunities

The King’s Trust have so many great opportunities for young people aged 16-30 to get involved with- their courses are free and give people the tools to build their confidence and find work.

Upcoming opportunities include:

 

Health and Social Care with Seashell’s Trust – from the 28th July

The King’s Trust are partnered with Seashell’s Trust, a health and social care charity based in Greater Manchester. They’re offering a chance to develop essential skills in their workshops, and preparing for mock interviews as part of an established care team, focusing on crucial skills that will prepare you for a career in care.

 

Get into Event Production – from the 4th August

This course is well suited for anyone looking to get their career started in event production- a vital opportunity to learn essential behind-the-scenes skills such as lighting, sound, safety awareness protocols, health and safety best practices, and over-all production.

 

Explore – from the 12th August

The King’s Trust Explore programme allows young people to take part in fun, challenging activities to help grow their confidence while taking steps to achieve their goals. With key skills up for grabs including teamwork, leadership and communication skills, it’s well worth a try!

 

LLN- English and Maths Support – Ongoing

The King’s Trust are also offering one-to-one session to build confidence in English and Maths with support from a qualified tutor. This includes functional skills and English as a Second Language- up to and including level 2. This offer is only available to young people who are currently attending or have recently completed a King’s Trust programme.
