Oldham based Ultimate Products resumes recruitment drive and reinstates dividend
Consumer goods company Ultimate Products has announced it has resumed a local recruitment drive and will reinstate the suspended interim dividend.
In a trading update, the Oldham-headquartered reported a 6.1 percent drop to £115.7m, down from £123.3m in 2019. The group said the drop in revenue reflecting order cancellations and deferrals due to the pandemic.
However, the group’s online revenues were up 47.2 percent to £16.7m, from £11.4m, which accounts for 14.5 percent of total group revenue.
The drive is aimed at filling new roles across the Company’s two Oldham sites, Manor Mill and Heron Mill, it said.
The group said the drive has seen the proportion of the company’s UK workforce with an Oldham postcode increase to 40 percent, from 9 percent in 2016.
Its graduate development scheme, currently made up of 108 colleagues, represents 48 percent of its UK workforce.
