About the role:

As part of the Salford Cares team you will be supporting people in their own homes. The people we work with have a range of complex needs and the support required can vary from person to person. Currently we are looking to recruit individuals to support the following needs: managing mental health, personal care, mobility requirements and living well with Autism.

You will also support people to: manage their finances, attend health appointments, engage with external agencies, and integrate / participate in their local community.

The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on a rota which includes weekends and sleep-in cover.


Your responsibilities as a Salford Cares support worker will revolve around helping people with complex needs live more independently and undertake life enhancing activities. As a member of our team it is crucial that people’s needs are at the heart of everything you do. You will also need to work with our Service Leaders along with health colleagues to implement and support therapy plans. You may be required to assist with personal care.

Experience and skills required:

As part of the Salford Cares team you must be highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support. It is also crucial you are able to develop supportive relationships and help promote independence and wellbeing.

You must be eligible to live and work in the UK with fluent English language skills and be willing to work to a shift pattern.

Experience supporting adults with: learning disabilities, physical care needs, mental health issues or Autism is a must. A current UK driving license is preferred.
